Are We In The Clear Yet?

Image
I don't even know where I'm going with this to be honest but I feel like I need to write something or else I'll just sit in my corner eating ice cream and watching re runs of Pretty Little Liars.  So lately...no...um...in the past couple of weeks, I've been going though the entire cycle of emotions. I start the day happy, then go into Yoda mode (preaching and shiz), then into this crazy fun chick, then into someone who thinks about every stupid thing she's ever done, then happy again and sometimes being an emotional wreck also finds it's way into the cycle. I don't know how this works but that's how almost every single day goes. I'm not complaining here because there is nothing to complain about. Everything is going my way, great friends (with the occasional ones who suck me into their mess), loving parents, and even school is hella good. But then why the hell am I just fine  not hella good?  Let me update you on what's been happening: ...

GA Day (Day 6)

Pain, it comes in all forms. The small twinge, a bit of soreness, the random pain, the normal pains that we live with every day. Then there's the kind of pain you can't ignore. A level of pain so great that it blocks out everything else; makes the rest of your world fade away until all we can think about is how much we hurt. How we manage our pain is up to us. Pain. We anaesthetize, ride it out, embrace it, ignore it... and for some of us, the best way to manage pain is to just push through it.  you just have to ride it out, hope it goes away on its own, hope the wound that caused it heals. There are no solutions, no easy answers. You just breathe deep and wait for it to subside. Most of the time pain can be managed, but sometimes the pain gets you when you least expect it, hits way below the belt and doesn't let up. You just have to fight through, because the truth is you can't outrun it, and life always makes more.  -Meredith Grey

My Headphones #1

Image
Sooooo I know that I have been away for far to long but the truth is nothing really happened. Well, things did happen but I just didn't know how to put them in words. I know that this is a lame excuse but sometimes you just have to regroup and let things fall in their places. The truth is, I was happy. I am happy. Extremely. And when you are content, you have nothing to rant about. Back to the title, I thought of yet another string of posts that I'll be writing. "My Headphones". It's pretty literal. Each month I will tell you ten songs that I have been playing on repeat, I will link the video/lyrics video and write my favourite bit of the lyrics (mostly the chorus, duh.) so that you can get an idea of what it's about. Warning: They could be new releases or from years/months ago. So here goes.  1. Second Hand Heart - Ben Haenow (Winner of X Factor UK 2014) "I might think too much, drink too much, stay out too late I know I'm just a foo...

The Longbottoms

Image
This is not some life experience or an intellectual post. Just a rant about something that has been bothering me ever since I've been a potterhead.  So as you might know, a lot of stuff from the books didn't make it into the movies, for example, Peeves, Voldemort's backstory, Harry's sassiness. But what bothers me the most is that they completely looked over the detailed story about the Longbottoms. The "fans" who have just watched the movies have so little knowledge about what Neville was going through. They just think that he's a kid who lives with his grandmother, no big deal.  Well, I'm here to enlighten the lot of you.  Alice and Frank Longbottom The Longbottoms were a part of the fight against Voldemort. They were one of the bravest people out there. But they got captured and when they refused to give up even the slightest bit of information, they were tortured into insanity. They didn't even remember their own son. That's ...

GA Day (Day 5)

No one likes to lose control . It's a sign of weakness, of not being up to the task. And still there are times when it just gets away from you.  When the world stops spinning and you realize that your shiny little scalpel isn't gonna save you. No matter how hard you fight it, you fall. And it's scary as hell. If there's an upside to free-falling, it's the chance you give your friends to catch you. –Meredith Grey

Question Hour

Well to be honest, no one asks me questions about me. But I think it would be cool to answer a few questions that may have come to your mind because hello? It's a great idea for a post XD 1. How old are you? - I turn 15 in January 2016 :)  2. Do you prefer dressing up or going casual?/ Heels or Converse? - I'm all about the sweatshirt life but if there's a party I need to go to, you can be hella sure I'm gonna look fine af. And I love both, my Converse and my heels. WHOOP WHOOP! 3. Where do you live? - Chandigarh, India and proud of it.  4. Are you good at school? - Honours roll baby! (To put it simply, yes, I am) 5. Do you put on make up? - Um, almost never, (Just forget "almost". I don't think lip balm is considered as make up) 6. Do you have a boyfriend? - Nope. And I don't want/need one either. But that doesn't stop me from looking at sexy faces and appreciating them XD 7. Instagram or Snapchat? - Insta all the way!  8. ...

List #6

6 TV Shows I've been LOVING this season :D <3  Most of them have been my all time favourites but as some of my top shows are on break I thought I would include some new ones :) Here goes! 1. Castle (Currently in its 8th season) : Where do I even begin? I have been a fan ever since season 1 aired and that's saying  something. Beckett is a highly skilled detective who is haunted by her mother's murder till date. Castle, a writer, started to tail her thinking that she was an interesting muse for his novels and soon they were solving murders together. Each episode is different and the personal timeline of the characters is flawless. Beckett's mother's murder case is a heavy plot that is included in all eight seasons and get's complicated slowly and steadily. Next thing you know, the case directs Beckett to one of the most prominent men in the country. This show is light, funny, interesting but at the same time it's dark and twisted and in my...
