A Brand New Day

Image
"It's been a great year!" That's what everyone says isn't it? A general answer to a general question this time of the year. One thing everyone commonly doesn't tell is the hardships. Every single person has done something that they are not proud of this year and I'm here to tell you that IT IS OKAY! : Rule of thumb: Learn to let go. : That is the only way you can enjoy your life and be the person you always wanted to be. Be fearless. Be passionate. Be kind. Be fun. But the most important thing is to be yourself because you cannot possibly get everyone to like you so might as well be someone you can be proud of. On a more positive note, it's only a few hours to a band new year, a new hope and a new beginning. I say, make the most of it. Because "Tomorrow" is not a thing to depend upon. Let's make this year the best yet. Travel, read, spend time with loved ones, get up and go to gym (It's really hard. Believe me.) fa

#HeForShe

"We don’t often talk about men being imprisoned by gender stereotypes, but I can see that they are, and that when they are free, things will change for women as a natural consequence. If men don’t have to be aggressive in order to be accepted, women won’t feel compelled to be submissive. If men don’t have to control, women won’t have to be controlled. Both men and women should feel free to be sensitive. Both men and women should feel free to be strong. It is time that we all perceive gender on a spectrum, instead of two sets of opposing ideals. If we stop defining each other by what we are not, and start defining ourselves by who we are, we can all be freer, and this is what HeForShe is about. It’s about freedom. I want men to take up this mantle so that their daughters, sisters, and mothers can be free from prejudice, but also so that their sons have permission to be vulnerable and human too, reclaim those parts of themselves they abandoned, and in doing so, be a more tru

Wattpad

So recently I read a book on Wattpad called "The Bad Boy, Cupid and Me". Guess what? I turned out to be one of the best books I have ever read. It was a bit predictable but what book isn't?! It was a teen love story (Obviously!). It's about a good girl named Chloe who has witnessed something. It eats her away...Fast forward.. she's sent to detention (For the first time in her life!) and there she meets "The bad boys" of the school. The story is really intriguing and fabulous. I love it and would re read it any time. Her experiences are something worth spending time reading. The story hits you right in the feels. :) A must read. The Bad Boy, Cupid And Me.

Music CAN Change Things

Image
I know this will sound crazy and immature (maybe) but I strongly believe that music can change a person's thought process. Go on, say I'm mad. Have you ever listened to a song and forgot about all your worries? Or when you were alone and unhappy... just listening to that one song made you want to dance around your house like nobody was watching! That song that you loved so long ago, hearing it on the radio brings back so many bitter-sweet memories. It's really strange that a string of words from the mouth of a total stranger can be such identifiable ones, isn't it? Every song that we listen to in our daily lives hold some special meaning for everyone of us. Another thing that I notice (and love) is that a song can be interpreted in so many different ways... just think about it, the same words and so many different meanings. And then are those epic songs that can pull you out of extreme depression and sadness. Those are the ones that millions of people around the worl

Demons In Disguise

Damn Right! In the last couple of weeks, my so called "good friends" started making fun of me behind my back...Fast forward to now a quarter of my class thinks that I am trying to break friendships up and stuff (Which I am clearly not). This made me think why do people just start boycotting you for no apparent reason-that is a real reason and not a imaginary one. I didn't ask for my friend's guy to start liking me when i clearly don't see him that way, I didn't ask someone else's friend to start hanging out with me because I understand her better, and I didn't bitch about anyone just for fun.  They talk about me and those who defend me behind our backs but you know what? This only proves that they have no aim and nothing to do  and that they (instead of living) are wasting their precious time to make fun of someone who doesn't even care. Well, in my case I have to bare this for only a couple of months which probably tangible. But for e

Are they worth the time?

So it just came to me,  Why are readers made fun of? They say that there is life outside of books and that you are wasting your time reading something that's not even real. Well, I beg to differ. Books are a gateway to a whole new world. A world that's entirely your own and you're free to interpret it in various ways. They also teach you things, things that are almost impossible to see and feel in the real world. They teach you humility, integrity, importance of hard work, keeping faith, and most of all: Good always triumphs over evil. They also teach you that if one dies, it's okay to move on and do what you're supposed to do because the truth is life does go on. They teach you that friendships, just sometimes, friendships do last forever.  They are a source of strength. They are not boring, they are a way of living. Anyway, that's what I believe. And to answer the question...YES! Books are completely and fully worth the time and effort. Keep

Getting Things Going.

You might think that it's stupid to wait for something forever. Well, in my case, I've been waiting for something that I know is never gonna happen since December. (Its not forever, but you get the picture.) While waiting, I realized that its not stupid. This process says a lot about who you are. In my opinion, if you wait for what you want and work for it, you are hopeful, optimistic, and a good person. (If you have the right intentions.) I say this because I have seen many people go through this. Hoping is never a bad thing. A little good hope never hurt anybody :). In the end you might not get what you asked for or prayed for or waited all this while for, but at least you tried. I have always believed that if you are unable to achieve something GOOD, there is always something GREAT in store for you. Giving it a shot and failing beats the hell out of never trying. So, this is just the beginning. Hope for the best and don't get down if you don't you fail because thing
